Srila Prabhupada always emphasized on “simple living and high thinking”. He gave direction for Kṛṣṇa conscious country living. Prabhupāda said he wanted the community based on Vedic ideals, everyone living simply, keeping cows, and working the land. And most important, the members of such a community would be serving Kṛṣṇa and chanting His name.
At Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir – Bon Accueil, the keynote “simple living and high thinking” is significantly abided by. The Temple is situated in a lush green environment. Devotees grow crops and flowers, used directly in the service of Lord Krishna.

Cows are taken care of and raised in the premises of Sri Sri Krishna Balaram Mandir. A new cow park will soon be put in place, allowing the cows to roam in the pasturing ground.


Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, accompanied by Lord Balarāma and surrounded by the cowherd boys and the cows, entered the forest of Vṛndāvana as He played His flute.
